Since opening in October 2017, Koach Katrina has become a second home for many people who want to improve their health in a positive and supportive atmosphere. It's owner, Katrina Francella, had a personal weight-loss of 100 pounds. Her struggles are the driving force of The Klub and why she cares. She hopes to encourage self-love through fitness but many would say The Klub is so much more than just a gym. It is a community of support, with an emphasis on Mental Health.
I'm Katrina Francella, also known as Koach Katrina -
a Fitness & Health Promotion Graduate who is also certified through the Ontario Fitness Council in Resistance Training & Group Exercise. I love modifying workouts so that absolutely anyone could participate in group fitness and feel successful.
I was over-weight my whole life until 5
years ago when I embarked on a fitness journey that would prove to change my life forever. I lost 100lbs in just over a year, but more importantly gained strength and a passion to help others reach their goals as well. I had much success in the group fitness atmosphere and wanted to create a supportive environment to mimic my experience. I offer personal training but specialize in group training.
The Klub is a safe space for women and the LGBTQ2S+ community to participate in group fitness that is personalized and sure to bring the results you want in an atmosphere that is upbeat, positive and full of laughter. We do metabolic circuit training that combines strength, cardio and flexibility all in 45 minutes. Group training is for all ages and abilities. One can sign-up for their first klass here on the "schedule page" through Mindbody or by downloading the Mindbody App.
When there aren't fitness klasses running, The Klub hosts cooking classes, health seminars, Queer Klub and other special events. The space can be rented for parties or meetings as well.
